Haha, I 'm with ya on a cowgirl! Great pieces of history, your grandpa has great taste. Go get that deer, 30-30 is legendary! We are all bad at hunting and fishing, it's luck a lot of times. Thanks for sharing the story.I've got a few single actions but not here at work for photos. I'm not into cowboy action, I tend to prefer the cowgirls. My favorite is an early Colt New Frontier 22lr, made in the early 70's I think. My kids love it too, has a 22WMR cylinder too. Also as early 70's Ruger Blackhawk or Super Balckhawk (I'm not too familiar with Ruger revolvers) in 44 mag. Those are from my grandpa, also got an unfired in box Winchester 94 in 30-30. He made me promise to get my first deer with it, still waiting. I'm a worse hunter than a fisherman and that's saying something.
Luckily he's still around, he's 93 and reminds me I need to get him some back strap on occasions. I plan to fulfill his wishes.Haha, I 'm with ya on a cowgirl!
