What's the going rate for a concrete deck (price per square foot)?

I have a 13'x8' concrete patio in my backyard and I want to extend it to 20'x10'. Life's too busy for me to devote time to learn and do it myself so I will be looking for a contractor here soon. Just want to know what i should expect when receiving bids.

Thanks everyone.

Get multiple bids and you will have the best answer…

Geography will play some into the cost as will time of year and how busy companies are right now.

About to do a similar addition for my brothers patio.

No such thing.

Concrete work depends on so many things including how much and what kind of form work is required, what kind of reinforcement is needed, time of year, how far from the batch plant you are, trucks needed, pour location, (pumper vs. direct pour), crew needed, etc. etc.

Get 3 bids. That's your average rate.

In La Center WA we had a $5,000 bid with me doing the tear out and removal of existing slab. Driveway pour, 3 chutes lengths away from the main road, a 14'x 8'x 6" driveway ( just a bit over 2 yards ) with a broom finish.
Contractors are gouging now.
I just had a sleeve bored for a water main 120'/ 1 1/2 sleeve and 1" pex line replacement.
Bids ranged from 8k, 5k, 3.5k, I finally found an honest guy to do it for 2400. I'm an electrician but have done construction most of my life. So I understand when someone is gouging or making an honest good wage.
Good luck !!! Get a bunch of quotes !!!!
