Offer for sale only is this beautiful Colt revolver. Born in 1940 this 3rd. issue was made from 1927 to 1949. It has a 6" barrel, original wood grips with silver medallions. Bore is bright and shiny, adjustable front and rear sights. As you can see it's been very well cared for
over the past 85 years. No end shake, bank vault lock up. Hardly a mark on it with a very faint turn line on the cylinder There is a very slight flattening of the checkering at the base of both grip panels. No evidence of any holster wear and
no loss of bluing on the high points and the bluing on the extractor rod is about as perfect as can be. .These revolvers were produced in 22LR, 32 colt and 38 special calibers. The 32 colt was only made pre war. The 22lr is the most desirable because of its low production numbers.
The Officers Model was Colt's top of the line handgun until the Python was introduced in 1955. These revolvers were hand fitted and hand assembled, back when craftsmanship was the norm. It was designed specifically as a target revolver. This revolver will do nothing but go up in value in the coming years.
The photos do not adequately show how nice the revolver really is. If you want specific photos, just ask. I'd say this is at least a 96% condition revolver.
$825.00., no trades. Viewing and transfer to take place at A Cut Above Pawn, Aloha Oregon. Shipping available, POR
