I have a like new 1978/79 Colt I would like to sell. I bought it in 1984. I immediately took it to a gunsmith and had adjustable sights fitted. The gunsmith test fired it but I never shot it myself. It's been in the gunsafe since 1984. $900, No trades. 509-969-4999

John was an AF pilot that was also an accomplished gunsmith. He had a spotless machine shop in his basement. I never noticed the date until you bought it up. He was mission driven and was probably completely oblivious to the date.
well I'm not sure how you can be an air force pilot and be oblivious to the 4th of july

I had a few well intended folks that wanted to buy but the deals eventually fell through due to distance, etc. So it's still avalible.

I'll be listing my XDS 45 soon too.

Just because it says "Series 70" doesn't mean it hasn't been altered sometime in the past.
Just cock the slide back on an empty mag and take a picture of the barrel if you don't know the difference and have to rely on someone that's never physically handled the pistol in question.

For some reason, I'm not seeing the taper of the barrel in the pic you posted. Could you please take one perpendicular to the barrel or slide out the barrel collet bushing?
