I have an absolutely beautiful pre-64 Winchester Model 70 - serial number dates the rifle at 1951. All original and very very little wear on this one. I've owned dozens of model 70's and it is rare to find them in this condition, stock is uncut, bluing is beautiful, very few impressions/dings in stock (these are easy to remove if you desire but I prefer to leave them as is)

Could you show a picture of the bolts engraved serial number.

It's hard to catch it in the iPhone camera but the serial number is etched and matches the receiver.
