I've become independent of commercial fishing by catching my own fish and shellfish. I'd like to eventually be the same way with red meat and pork. Chicken and eggs are too cheap to be worth the effort at the moment.

That second video is from some far off and distant places. Only things you find in the sand around here are clams and the occasional sand shrimp. Our octopus are ten times the size and don't hang out in the beach sand.

Yeah, the problem with SHTF is you don't have the gov out there checking for toxins in shellfish/etc. and putting out a warning.
