  1. I have read and accept the classified system rules and terms of service.
1953 Win 70 Action, Stainless Palma Barrel. Build by JK Cloward. .308 win. Stock appears to be handmade. Anschutz trigger (adjustable) with Jewel stipled shoe. Original Redfield Olympic Sights. Anschutz rail spot filled in with a piece of rosewood but would be easily replaceable and they seem to go for $30-50. Very nice vintage Palma rifle. Judging from other builds I've seen posted, I'm guessing this is one of his earlier rifles before or during his time as the Palma Team armorer. Barrel is 9.5/10 throat erosion almost non existent and bore super crisp and shiny! Message or call 307-331-7411/ 541-415-4951 $3500 o.b.o. Just spoke with Doan Trevor yesterday and he seems to place this build by the stock work as around the early 70's with likely a Hart barrel.

People are not smart apparently. I became in a bit of a pinch to get rid of it and both gunshops in the Denver area (Mile High Shooting and The Gun Room) toted themselves as experts, yet the first told me they had no idea who built it and it wasn't worth anything more than just the action for a couple hundred bucks, and the other told me it wouldn't be worth any more than just a regular old used Winchester model 70? Where are all the real experts I've met or got to know over the years like Ted Brown and Tom Luhman? Seriously, what is an LGS nowadays? A spot for 22-year-olds to preach how perfect a chassis stock in some newfangled cartridge that just came out yesterday is?

I have a JK Cloward custom rifle. He used a Remington 1903A3 action chambered it as 2506. Has his trademark beautiful stock with a Can jar trigger. Awesome shooter.

Super cool! If I could still shoot irons well I would have to think dang hard about that.

Imagine showing up on the firing line of a big regional match with that beauty!
