"Talon surplus .30 cal (.308/30-06) tracer tips, no paint on tips, 145 grain, copper closure, no pull marks. Ready to load, can not garantee light rate. The tips have been in storage since the 90's. They had to be cleaned due to mild tarnish, this removed the paint from the tips. These tips make great machine gun bullets."

That's the description of them from polygunbags (which is where I bought them from).

I've loaded them in .308 and 7.5 MAS, and all seemed to ignite.

Also, the shipping was over $40 for 1k of these with a few other small items, so I figured $40 for 500 was a fair price. I'm not one of these bums who try and make a profit on something that is readily available to anyone with internet access.
