Testing the waters. Bought new, and have about 1500 rounds through it. Its been most accurate with M855 green tip. Shot it out to 600 yards with a 1-8x and its very accurate. Included parts are Steyr upgraded hammer springs (lighter for a better trigger pull but 100% reliable), a Manticore arms...

you can, or at least you used to be able to get the different color stock/frames for pretty reasonable. VERY easy to swap out everything to a different color down the road. Where it starts getting expensive is buying barrels- i have all three lengths for mine- it is SO easy to swap barrels, you just have to get multiple lengths eventually!

No kidding. Good on steyr for that. Plus they started making and selling 1:7 twists....just trying to get an impulse purchase complete before 114

They also started selling 300blk barrels, which all you need is a quick barrel swap, as well as 9mm trainer kits. And then my favorite, they finally started reproducing the 24" HBAR heavy barrels with bipod. Used to be just a very limited number of these in the country, and very hard to find. When you did fine one, they would go for crazy money. Steyr started building fresh ones, and so I bought one as soon as they became available. An Aug with the 24" HBAR barrel is just awesome!

No, but I'm considering it. Best I can tell though, the a3 m2 is the same and maybe a little better features...just doesn't have the desirable factory of a forged receiver by either vltor or Sabre
