MMm...
Well....sorry he died.
Would like to hear more details about this matter.

In any event...I'll still head out to wilderness areas alone.
Ain't gonna let someone or something like this control me or what I want to do.
Not arguing here..or trying to start a fuss.
Just saying that I plan on keeping on doing what I have doing for a long time now.

Damn, I've heard reports of people getting robbed at shooting pits around here, which kinda makes me scared to go. I don't know anyone else into guns, so I'd necessarily be alone. He was the same age as me, too.

From what little is known, it's seems to be quite the stretch to say it was murder.

Tragic is what it is.

Agree. Way too early to say it was murder. Person was transported by car from a very remote place which means it either has to be one of his party or someone else shooting in the same pit (ie accidental discharge accident) that transported him. Also possible someone came to the same pit an hour or 2 after he was shot (shot by either himself or by someone else). Not nearly enough info to say it was murder.

This is the second thread on this. The earlier thread is below. @Moderators thread merge on isle 1?

Something to consider here...

Is to let others know when you you going out to a shooting pit...where that pit is...
And when you plan on being back.

Kinda like what you should do when you go hiking , camping , hunting....etc....

100%. That was ingrained in us as kids. Party because we lived in an area where the mountains were close by and we were often heading there. Also at that time car breakdowns were much more common. If you don't return someone knows where to go looking for you.

Agree, at least let people know when heading out.
Also, admins can probably close this discussion, since there is another one active about this incident.

This was a super busy spot this summer. I've had a few large groups of people show up with out much firearms experience and have seen some sketchy and down right stupid things going down there.
Rip.
