Join the #1 community for gun owners of the Northwest
We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I'd suspect (although I may be wrong) that guns used by the military have chrome lined barrels.
The chrome lined barrel should stay a bit cleaner and be easier to clean, thus the military likes it. I've heard conflicting information about accuracy, however. In any case, I wouldn't worry about it... Nice gun.
Chrome lining is usually used for ammo with corrosive primers. If anything, I would think a chrome barrel would be less accurate than a non chrome barrel is. Maybe I'm wrong though.
