I have a Century C39 milled Ak in 7.62x39, gun shoots and works fine I don't remember round count as this was a toy for me. No rust / always cleaned after shooting. Magpul stock was modified to fit the AK, would recommend swapping for a 1913 pic rail adapter to run something like Jmac customs stock. Gun was supposed to be an sbr project but it never took off.
