If you want bolt action suggest asking your ffl to get a rock island m14y bolt action rifle. 18" threaded wood and metal for about $130ish new and very accurate.

Darn. Sportsman's warehouse is showing out of stock also. Maybe it's one of those guns that comes in in batches and when it's sold out takes a long time until the next batch comes in. My Jericho was like that. 2-3 years in between batches I think for the Jericho.

I did some snooping and saw this armscor/Rock island with synthetic stock. I wonder if this is the replacement for the wood stock one? Uses same 10 shot mag and 18" threaded barrel. The wood stock one is still on the Armscorp website so they probably still make it but I don't see it in stock anywhere anymore. Action, safety, sights, trigger, mag release, mag, barrel, thread protector all look the same to my eye. So maybe they just changed the stock. If you wanted to you could call ffls with the UPC code to see if they can get it locally to save shipping charges.

Wow nice find on the rock island at bi-Mart. If I didn't already have 2 of the wood stock ones I would probably buy that. Great pesting guns.

Here is a good but cheap 3-9x scope to add to a cheap .22 for $15. I think I paid $30 ea for the 5 of these that I have. I doubt it's true 3-9x but who cares, it works well.

Bi-Mart here in Mac has a semi-auto Savage 64 Precision with a threaded barrel for around 250 if I remember right. I know bolt is solid, but I doubt they are even close in cost. Check em out. I could be mistaken though, I've not really looked at their bolt actions as yet.
