This particular pistol doesn't love plated. Used to be all I shot years ago. I do see Targets sport usa has it.Blazers are just non plated mini mags, shot a ton of them back in the 70's when you could get then for $7.99 a brick.
only place I see them now is online.
Where are you getting Federal Blazer .22 LR?The Blazer .22 LR in 50 round boxes/500 round bricks comes in two versions. One which is made by CCI and comes in bricks with tucked in end flaps. The Federal produced version comes in bricks with glued down flaps with a pull tab.
In my experience the CCI version is significantly more consistent and accurate.
Ok so CCI contracts out with Federal to make .22 rimfire ammunition to sell under the CCI Blazer label?CCI 22 Blazer that's produced in the Lewiston plant is easily identified by it's black lead and has much better quality/consistency than the Federal stuff that has grey lead.
Thanks. Looking online they have 38gr at my Salem store.Ok so CCI contracts out with Federal to make .22 rimfire ammunition to sell under the CCI Blazer label?
Well I guess it was more of a question. There seems to be at least one person in this thread suggesting that Blazer is also made by Federal, which would be an interesting bit to know, but I can't find any outside reference to this.Thanks. Looking online they have 38gr at my Salem store.
I purchased it at Sportco and or Outdoor Emporium in NW Washington.Where are you getting Federal Blazer .22 LR?
Thank you! This is what I was trying to understand. It almost sounded from above that the Federal plants were somehow cranking out ammo to be sold under the CCI 'Blazer' label, which it appears is not the case.Maybe people get confused in that Cci and Federal are sister companies ... but separate manufacturing .
