I stumbled on this video and thought it was pretty interesting/cool. Thought some of you might appreciate it. As the title suggests, a guy walks us through the process for casting a solid aluminum bat...ya know...for bashing things. :s0037::s0037::s0037:

Anyway, looks like he also has several other videos of casting various pieces of weaponry. :)


 
I like the method, I learned this in HS shop class.;)
I remember wood shop and metal shop. We did aluminum casting, riveting, gas, arc and spot welding. That was in middle school too. My high school also had a 22LR range and a rifle team. That was in NY. That's all long gone from that school system though. Likely replaced with passive-aggressive indecisiveness studies and angry inner feminist work shops.
