Bought a few of these carbon fiber lowers Any advice/warnings besides not using them in a vice? The light weight seems like it would be good in a pistol build. They are new frontier.
 
They can be problematic since the original design did not have polymer in mind.
Might be OK for a 22LR or something.

Coulda got you some poverty ponies for the same price in 7075...just sayin.

Only 2.75oz more weight for peace of mind. cause it's not just 7075 aluminum; It's type 3 hard coat anodized as well which reduces wear.
 
My opinion of New Frontier is not positive, so I will not be trusting any of their AR receivers. And speaking generally, I would not want to go through the trouble of getting a serialized receiver and then count on it to last in the years ahead when the replacements might be illegal.
