Cooey was a Canadian company. I believe it passed to Savage and they still make guns there. I think those little Chipmunk kid-sized guns are made by Savage in Canada.

During WW2, Cooey made training rifles in .22 LR for the Canadian forces, they looked like Enfields. They were the M82.
