I was up there the other day. I hadn't been in a while. Their new gun counters were crowded with buyers. The Gun Library was seeing a lot of traffic, but there was only one "outfitter" on duty and he was buying some guns. So I left, went over to Walmart, then back again to the Gun Room whereupon I was able to buy a couple of .22 rifles. But my point is, they were pretty busy for a week day, mid day. I'm thinking this may be the start of a pattern, with people thinking Harris may take the election. Meaning, another knee-jerk response.

They had lots of guns in the Gun Library. The guy who helped me said they'd recently bought two large groups of estate guns, each over 100 guns.

Powder prices, very high, stick powders $60-$70 for one pound jugs. Which they had a pretty good selection of, including IMR 4895. I asked about it and as I suspected, it wasn't flying off the shelves. So maybe buyer resistance has finally set it. It remains to be seen if this will sustain, and if so, will it cause a reduction in prices. If and when that happens, we may expect to see spot sale prices of selected items first, not an across the board reduction.

Again remember when Trump ran the first time. He was not supposed to win, we had mass panic pricing on guns and ammo. The one part of the economy that Dems are great at stimulating. :D

I keep expecting the price jump in everything, to the point I have faked myself out trying to read the tea leaves. So far average prices seem to be holding steady, and most price jumps seem to be inflation related rather than panic buying. I am actually buying a few things again because prices continue to be decent. Not quite as good as a year ago when I picked it up after a long dry spell, but still worth looking and grabbing that good deal.

When will the panic buying start? Who knows, I thought it would have kicked off a month ago. Maybe everyone got it out of their system last time. Maybe all the riots prompted people to get what they needed already. Maybe the other shoe is going to drop tomorrow.

As for my I will buy when the price is good, and will sell when I need to.

Perhaps, its a bit early but I believe most people don't know their candidates. Kamala is still not giving interviews and when she does, she will stay away from the topic of gun control and just say something to the tune of, "I respect all your rights and I will never take your 2A rights away"; translation:

"I will institute mandatory buy backs just like Australia and the UK."
