There are 40.9K "hearts"....I am assuming that these are "likes / loves " what was said.
And yes I know the dangers of assuming....

40.9K is a whole lot of people...and yes....that could simply mean that 40.9K people just pushed a button.
However , 40.9K people can make a loud noise...

In any event...
It is an election year...lots of sh!t gets said and promised....
Most of what is said and promised falls to the wayside after the election.

With that said...
Comments like the one in the OP need to be considered and taken seriously ( to a degree )
Simply because it was said...and liked / loved...and being repeated....and used...
All to push an idea / agenda which goes against the 2nd Amendment.

And with all that said....
The OP was a clip...a part of a conversation / interview , taken out of context...and posted with only the most damming parts said...

I have seen and experienced what a handful of motivated individuals can do...and the trouble they can cause.

And...
Even if...it is only 41,000 compared to 341,000,000...if those 41 ,000 are loud enough...
While the rest are mostly silent or talk only within their own circle....or don't do anything against the OP's ideas and aims....
It is still something to consider.

Of course they have a wet dream of doing this but they also want to stay in power. So they do it a little at a time. This keeps a LOT of gun owners supporting them. Telling themselves it will never really happen, or "well I don't own that gun anyway so I don't care". Hey can't blame them, it works great. Sadly the rest of us have to live with the pain inflicted on us by the rubes who keep supporting them.
