Brand new from the factory, but took a beating when in transit. There's a significant crack along a lot of the stock. These retail for $750 when finished. I'm asking $300 for it because of the damage. If you're handy with wood, you've got yourself a fantastic musket that's cheaper than even .22LR nowadays.

Rajasthan Armory, India. Your cheapest Italian muskets are $1,700, and your cheapest American muskets are $1,500. Anything below $1,000, you're looking at Indian-made.
 
Since the 1950's, yep. Italy, Japan, India all started in the 50's. Italy took off into the boutique $1,700 a musket route. Japan shut down their production to focus on extremely fancy shotguns for sporting clubs, and India kept chugging along with rougher, but far more affordable, muskets.
