Firearms Academy of Seattle in Onalaska Washington has a variety of classes at an excellent price. I highly recommend taking classes from them. They're about an hour north of Vancouver.

"Best" is a relative term.

Depends on what you're looking for as to content and curriculum.

Then we need a frame of reference from the person giving the recommendation.

First or second class, ok...but not much comparison available. Over 5 classes, more of a viable AAR.

+1. I've taken several classes there. They have a great lineup of in house classes, a fantastic schedule of top national trainers (as in I think I'd take a class with literally any of them I've seen listed), the owner and staff are friendly and the facilities are great. Less than an hour south of Olympia.

When I took a half dozen or more classes at Securite' in Woodenville they were top notch, especially for a relative beginner (I.e., my girlfriend), but also great review of fundamentals. (Note: it's all fundamentals. Even Tier 1 special forces, most of what they do is fundamentals in training again and again and again and some more... no, I'm not remotely that good, but yes, I've trained with multiple trainers who've been Tier 1 special forces...)
