Yep...a good belt is a must have.

As well as considering....leather or plastic....

And...just how you are wanting / going to carry..some holsters work better strong side...others are cross draw....

What clothes do you normally wear...will they work for the holster and belt you like...?
Where are planning on carrying...can you do whatever it is you normally do there....while carrying...?

Handgun design will play a role here....what I like for my 1911 may not work for a Glock 19.....

Are you wanting something for concealed carry ...or open carry...?

"Best" will mean many different things.....
Best price...well...what is your budget...?
Best made....personal preference will play a role here.
Best for comfort...again...personal preference..in how one carries...works / plays / etc...
Best for firearm retention...may not be the best when it comes to drawing or re-holstering...

Is leather usually more comfortable?
Comfortable is subjective to each person. This is going to be a trial and error process for you. It's rare you nail it on the first shot. We all have totes or drawers full of holsters and belts that didn't work. After almost 2 decades of conceal carrying I am just now figuring out what works for me. And what works for me may not work for you.

Belt, holster, clips and even your pants play a huge role in concealing as well as comfort. You can easily carry a 19X. I carry a G19 in the summer and a G34 in the winter. For me a Tenicor holster appendix, Hunter Constantine EDC belt, and jeans with a little stretch is my go to.

Don't get discouraged when your first setup doesn't work or is uncomfortable. It takes time and it's all trial and error until you figure out what works.

Looking to invest in a good holster for my 19x. New to EDC and want a comfortable one
You would get more helpful responses if you provided more information. I.E. In the waistband or outside the waistband. As stated above, leather or kydex?

I carry my G19 G/3 OWB on a Bigfoot belt and in a Tulster kydex holster. Great combo for cooler weather carry. For summer carry, my options vary.

Yeah this is all great info. I usually carry a Glock 19x and RXM. I have IWB and OWB, and An OWB with thumb strap. I carry those at 4 O'Clock. I also have a Galco Shoylder Holster

I have one plastic holster set up for IWB that came with the Glock.

For my other guns it can sometimes be different.

Does the Gen3 have interchangeable back traps?
