I ordered OEM 10 round magazines for my G17 GEN 5 that I took down to Oregon a few years back. They functioned flawlessly for me and took them to the gun range before I make the road trip.

KCI are great mags for the money, and reliability. They are my go to, except at home for the pillow gun.
My experience with them may be an "outlier". The few I tried would not work. I have a handful of PCC's that use Glock mags. Back when mags were still costly I tried a few and ended up giving them away. None of them would work in any of the guns. Every one of the guns that would not feed with the KCI mags just ran like a sewing machine when I used an OEM mag in them. Back when we could still buy them I was VERY tempted to try a couple of the drum mags KCI makes since Glock never came out with one. Kept seeing video of people using them and having a lot of fun. After none of the stick mags would work I did not want to drop the cash on one of the drums. They must work in some guns or no one would buy them anymore but, my experience was not good.

I had the same experience. They might run, but then again they might not.

I've run OEM and Magpul in a G17, no issues with either. Can't speak specifically to the G19. The Magpuls are good, but not good enough to convince me I should buy them over the OEM's for just a few bucks more.

I found some OEM Gen 5 10 rounders on a good sale for $18 each so it was an easy choice. I have not shot them yet but I expect them to be as good as anything else.

I like the KCI 10 rounders because they are a double stack and not a single stack with a block on the side like the OEM. It took me forever to get the OEM mags to where they would accept the full 10 rounds.

I need to get a few 10 round mags for my G19 just in case this 114 nonsense goes through.

Just because I'm limited to 10 rounds doesn't mean I'll carry a smaller gun. Although I have no issue carrying my G26.

I don't know how 114 will be interpreted. In the commie stronghold to the north, I understand we're not prohibited from using standard capacity mags in our firearms, just from obtaining or "importing" any that we didn't own before the ban went into place.
I stocked up on mags for guns I don't even own, yet!
Yeah, I'm one of "those people".

That's not the case with 114. You will be limited to 10 round mags even if you had them before the law goes into effect (I pray it doesn't). They have select areas that you can take/use your standard mags. Atleast that's how I understand it.

I believe you are correct.
I believe I will not GAF about what I carry if 114 does indeed go into effect. I spose it could be different if someone carries a handgun in their job duties, but that's not me.

That was my thought process as well. But it has changed. If the law takes effect I will carry 10 round mags. Others are free to do as they wish.

When 114 was initially passed, I didn't have a carry gun that held 10 rounds! At most 8+1 and revolvers. :)
Like Obama, 114 has helped sell a LOT of guns.

My thought process for the mags I will carry -

The likelihood of me ever needing a gun in self defense is very low. Yet I still carry one all day. Everyday. The likelihood of needing more than 10 rounds is even smaller statistically speaking. With that being the case if I am forced to use a gun outside of my home I do not want to give the prosecutor any more ammo against me than they already have. So if that means I carry a 10 round mag in the gun and another one on me I can make that work. That puts me at 20 rounds. While in my current state I only carry the mag that's in the gun which is 15 round.

It's the same reason I swap to 10 round mags when I go up into Washington. For the longest time I just conceal carried whatever I wanted in Washington without even having a license. Not anymore.

I weigh the pros and cons along with the risk of being caught and the punishment to follow with almost everything I do. With that said there are definitely laws I disregard.
