Does the Italian 92FS radiused backstrap make that much of a difference in terms of trigger reach?

I am shopping for a "traditional looking" Beretta. I am the proud owner of a Wilson Centurion model, which has ultra thin grips and the radiused backstrap. In my mind, it has the "perfect" grip and perfect trigger reach combination. My question for those that have experience with the different radiused and non-radiused Beretta frames is:

How much difference does a Beretta 92 FS with a radiused backstrap make vs the older M9 frames in terms of hand fit? Does it significantly change finger reach on the trigger?

For those that have no clue what I am talking about, see here for a radiused backstrap photo (92FS frame):

And here for a non-radiused backstrap photo (M9 frame):

Good graphic here:

Also, Italian 92FS vs USA M9? Any insights on selection?

I prefer the aesthetic of the straight dust cover M9 frame, but am worried that I will get less quality with a USA made Beretta and a gun that will not "fit just right" with the lack of radiused back strap.

Thanks in advance.

My American-made M9 is made very well. No machining marks inside the slide, smooth like all the other M9/92's. I have large hands and either frame fits me fine.

When Botach had the M9 in stock I got it for $499 and then sold the three 10 round mags for $50.

The M9 is like fat chicks. Fun to ride but you hate getting seen with them.

I just got rid of an Italian 92F Compact. If I were to try a 92 again, it would have to have a flat rear grip. My G20 is an SF Frame and my 19 got filler in the back strap tunnel and a cosmetic reduction removing the hump.

I don't think the hump affects reach as much as wrist angle and the angle difference during the press.

Always hated the dbl stack fat back grip. To bulky. Yea yea yea, first issue in 83 was a 1911 so go figure right.

The 1911s were worn out. 2 duty stations with them before the M9 intro and I had 4 or 5 1911s issues to me due to problems.

M9 had some teething problems, locking blocks and slides cracking. Looks as if sig is have a problem or two also.

Yea, still got 8 or 9 1911s in the safe, 1 Sig(226), 1Xdm, 2Gs and 2 HP. The Fantastic plastic is leaving and now looking for a Custom Mk3 HP.

I almost jumped on the Sig bandwagon when Sig discharges started getting a lot of press. Dodged a bullet on that one so to speak.

There are Inox 92FS models which were made in 1998 to 1999 with both the straight dust cover and the radiused backstrap. I'm sure the radiused backstrap helps a bit with finger reach, but on my example of the above. replacing the grip panels with modified ultra-thin Vertec grip panels helped more.

I loved my Taurus (they bought the Beretta 92 factory in Brazil when the contract ended) 92 but HATED the grip. I replaced it with a TZ75 (Tanfoglio copy of a CZ 75 I bought before the real thing could be had in the US). The grip is much more comfortable and part of that is the radiused section similar to your picture above. You won't know for sure until you hold one.
