Beretta 96 D Brigadier questions

I was wondering if there are any opinions on the Beretta 96D Brigadier .40 pistol. It is a police DAO gun with a 7.5lb trigger pull. I would prefer opinions from people that have either fired the gun or have owned the gun such as law enforcement considering this specific model is available to police only. Thanks for you help.
