University of Utah biologists were trying to study the behaviors of scavengers. So they scattered a number of cow carcasses out in the desert and staked them down. They then setup video cameras to document what happened. And boy did they get a surprise.

It seems one of the carcasses completely disappeared. And so when they checked the video, what they found was an American Badger had completely buried the entire carcass to save and eat at his leisure. They weren't trying to study the badger and weren't even aware that a badger would attempt to bury something four times his size! :)

That was impressive to watch!! Other critters must have caught the scent and does not look like any of them wanted to try to mess with the guy while he was working day and night to bury that thing. :)
