One for me, near the end they report there are more legal guns now than before their gun confiscations. They estimated an even larger number of illegal guns. They comment there are more guns in the suburbs than in rural areas, as if only farmers should have access to firearms.

Im guessing the legal guns are not "assault" guns though. Im not surprised their citizens would still want to own guns and not suprised the govt will continue more infringements on their ...priveledge.

What a "Hit Piece" Obviously no one has ever considered that there would be fewer gangs if there were more armed citizens.

For all of it's "Hollywood Toughness" I'm afraid Aus has been turned into a Nany State.:(

Kinda my 'takeaway' as well and it made me wonder - are AUS laws the same, similar or TOUGHER than say, in Great Britain, comparatively speaking?
Much like the US, people are mislead about actual gun laws. When I travel I ask taxi drivers or who will have conversation with me about gun laws across Europe. Most will say, people have guns.

I would think in the increase in hostilities across the globe more people would demand them.

When I moved here in the early 2000s, coming from LA, I felt very safe in Portland at any hour. Now I avoid it and while I can go unarmed to Portland, I just have no reason to.

They kept mewling on about 3-D printed guns.... HA!

Still have the photos I took (a few years ago) of the telly screen while in Australia visiting family.... coincidently we were talking (debating actually) about evil guns and how Aus "doesn't have gun crime" (according to my BIL who works in the criminal justice dept of Western Australia).... the next morning this was all over the news.

I got loads more screen shots, but this forum limits the number of photo uploads on a single post.... but you get the idea. IMG_0687.jpeg IMG_0686.jpeg IMG_0685.jpeg IMG_0677.jpeg IMG_0676.jpeg IMG_0675.jpeg IMG_0674.jpeg IMG_0673.jpeg IMG_0672.jpeg

From that video, apparently guns are only used in crimes and no one ever thought about their use for self defense.
It's like the inverse of the decriminalize everything agenda.

"When we decriminalize things, the crime rate drops!"

"When we criminalize gun use, guns are only used in crime!"
