The list is nearly endless. Personally I've got one in .22WMR, .223 Wylde, & .300 Blackout, and I'm currently building 9mm, .410 (shotgun) and working on having a barrel made in .30SC

Sorry for my ignorance I don't know the real difference between AR-15 and AR-10 other than AR-10 is larger calibers that was my curiosity as how large of a caliber you can go on the 15 lower And what all the options are using that one lower.

50 beowulf is the biggest you can put in an AR15 lower. 50 BMG is the biggest you can put on an AR15 lower (commercially)

I would like to own a 308 bolt action upper that would fit on AR15 lower.
Yeah it seems like you can have magazine length cartridges or you can have the really big stuff, with little in between. I think Uintah made one (maybe)

TBF it would have to be pretty cheap or extremely light in order to compete with an AR10 or a cheap bolt action. The 50 bmg and 338 uppers are a couple thousand vs ten thousand or more for a dedicated rifle.

I know on an AR-15 lower you can do 223-556 and 300 blackout. What other calibers or caliber uppers can be slapped on that same lower?

So far I have 223 wylde and 22 arc and soon I'm finishing a 338 arc barrel.

A few friends have 6mm and 30 caliber and I've seen .45, .50, 7mm and 9mm AR15's.

I run .17-556, .223, 20 Practical, 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, 300 BO and 450 BM. A wish list would include the .222 Remington.

Go to bear creek arsenal and click on upper left icon. In the scroll down click on "calibers". That will show you all the uppers available for both at-15 and ar-10 (35 calibers total). Black powder is also available from other places.

OK can we clean this mess up?

Stop with all the calibers of guns being called AR-15. [ Gun nuts have so little imagination].
I bet with just a bit of effort we could come up with different number designations?

Maybe AR-15. AR-16, AR17.
Heck I don't care. AR-37!

Then us slow kids can keep up.

Okay so can I do 6.5 PRC on a AR-15 lower or does that need to be AR-10? And are the parts even available?
If the cartridge overall length is longer than the 556 it needs to go in an AR10, otherwise it will work in an AR15.

And see that's what I thought but up above people are saying you can do up to 50 BMG and I'm like holy crap that's bigger than my magazine
