What is Appleseed?
Appleseed is an American Heritage program that has an excellent traditional rifle marksmanship course!

1 hour drive north on I-5 from Portland area. Well worth the money! You will learn far more than you ever knew about shooting a rifle from various positions, how to use your sling to aid you in stabilizing your aim, how to find your NPOA (Natural Point of Aim), how to breath through the shot, etc.
I'd suggest using a rifle with a magazine and .22 ammo, since it's cheap and easy to manage the recoil. The techniques translate to any rifle, so why not perfect your techniques on a cheaper rifle? Get yourself a Liberty Training Rifle!
