Used to be in my yooth. Too many other priorities now to spend any effort or money on it.

There's a subzero chance I would have ever traded a gun for an amp though.

Half my hearing loss was from shooting without ear protection early in life and the rest was from car audio systems.

Then I learned hearing damage is additive and not all from one thing.

Now I keep it loud enough but not so loud it drowns out the rest of the world.

Do yourself a favor and find a different hobby - I wish I had now, many years to late.

More like a large steaming mug of tinnitus!

;)

I see you've met my ex-wife.

Car audio is very important to me. But,
I haven't used the
8-track deck in my Skylark since it ate my copy of "Born to be Wild" last year. :(

Now I'll need to fork over the big bucks and switch to one of those fancy new cassette things…… guess I'll need to check the Yellow Pages for the nearest Marantz store.:s0155:

I gutted the B&O "premium" sound system in my Superduty to get a little more out of it. The "premium" speakers had tiny magnets and paper cones mounted on plastic frames. The factory sub and box were laughable. These stock systems kick the butt off of the Bose and Sony but still lacking………a lot. I bypassed the factory all in one amp and replaced them with something more up to the task, then went after the speakers big time. The thing will rock more than I was looking for but sounds clean with most music types. OP, what components were you looking to trade?
