Really wanted to get the Bren 2 in x39 but spaced on getting one before the Wa State AWB ban. Think I will shoot it tomorrow.

I got a 7.62x39 and find it to be excellent. Good sights and I like the ergonomics of it also. Seems to run well with about 1k down the tube without a hiccup.

Some day we need to go shoot together. Our taste in guns seems to overlap a lot.

I have one and I like it a lot. It is my main goto unless I want something lighter to carry around for the day, because it is a bit heavy. Front heavy to be exact because of the heavy profile barrel on the carbine version I have. The 1st time I shot one it was an 11" SBR and it was really well balanced, but I did not want to go through the paperwork at the time so I went with the carbine version.
Very reliable and more accurate than I am for sure. A real joy to shoot.

If they brought the 308 version stateside I would jump on it.

I had the 805 and disliked the weight balance, and that reciprocating charging that would get me once in a while when I would grab the magwell like an AK. The Bren 2 solved alot of things, I shoot supressed so I heard there were some upgrades needed to make it more reliable when doing so. It's a nice shooter for sure.

I shoot it suppressed often, but I am using a Hux 556 flow can and it does not affect back pressure much at all.
