This is another modern "CCO" (Combat Commander / Officer) set-up using the Smith and Wesson M&P M2.0 as the platform. I started with a (brand new) M2.0 Compact lower and put a 4.25" 1.0 upper (slightly heavier slide, no goofy mini-serrations). I added a very nice aluminum ApexTactical trigger. This has a manual thumb safety which can be removed if you prefer no safety. Installed on the slide are new factory metal 3-dot sights. It comes with one 10-round OEM S&W magazine, ML and M grip modules, and factory box (matching SN for frame) with lock, etc.. Compatible with all M&P mags if you happen to still own higher-capacity ones.
For those who don't know: The "CCO" concept first made famous in the 1980s, when custom 1911 builders would pair the 4.25" slide from a Colt Combat Commander 1911 with the shortened grip of the then-new Colt Officer's Model 1911. The hybrid design gave shooters great set up for carry: the longer slide increased accuracy and balance thanks to the longer sight radius, while the shorter grip was easier to carry, plus the extra barrel length boosted velocity for reliable expansion.
