I used a 40mm can as a center console in an old S-10 I used to own.

I also modified a .50 cal can into a lockable "puzzle box" in my truck. I stash ammo, binos, knives, a pistol, etc., in it if I have to leave them in the truck, and it's hidden behind the back seat.
