AMA only represents 11% of doctors and nothing they really do matters at all for policy or anything else. They have sent me fake dues notices for decades trying to trick me into signing up, that's how scummy they are.

Other than the media picking up on it and making it seem like they matter, it wont result in anything.

They are just people trying to justify their job decades after their organization quit being relevant.

Recently a Sierra Club conservation group chairman in New York admitted he helped torpedo a local funding request to create a statue for a WWII Medal of Honor winner because he'd be depicted with a gun.

Beahan later told the Buffalo News that he wrote the op-ed with the intention of influencing the Greenway Commission. The Sierra Club Niagara Group chairman went on to tell the paper, "Let's not make our kids worship heroes who are killing people."
