I am picking up an Aero upper from another member today. It has the 18" 4150 Nitrided SPR profile barrel with 1:7 twist rate. I watched a video review of this barrel and the groups weren't great except for some Federal 77gr loads. I know there are a lot of similiar 16" Aero and Ballistic Advantage barrels out there with 1:7 twist. Anybody here have one, if so what bullets does it like? I am hoping I can get some 55gr and 62gr loads to work in the barrel.

I may as well throw these questions in the thread as well. How do you test accuracy of a new rifle with hand loads? Where do you start with bullet weights, powder, etc?
