I have a remington model 10A. I bought the shotgun as a project. It needed a buttstock. so I bought a boyd stock, the only one I could find after a year of looking, but its for a 10/29. the stock had the inletting already done. but since its for a model 10 and 29, a 29 being wider and taller.........it s going to need to be fit or what ever it called. see pictures. I would also like to had a recoil pad to it
or someone can take this project off my hands IMG_1851.JPG IMG_1850.JPG IMG_1849.JPG

I would get to sanding on the front where it meets the receiver. Looks like you have it marked where to stop. It may not end up being exactly the same as a factory stock but I would think you could get it flush and be very functional at worst. As for the pad, there are lots of videos on youtube on it. You even get the bonus of being able to grind it down nice and flush with the stock since its unfinished.

Numrich has replacement stocks for less then $85.00 with free shipping too.
They only offer it for 12 gauge but it will bolt right on.
