I have a break action shotgun that I replaced the forestock on. I made the new one much longer than the original one. The old one is held in place by a large headed screw that threads through the wood into a piece of threaded tubing welded or brazed to the barrel. I would like to add another such attachment point further out on the new forestock to make it more secure.
any gunsmith in the Salem area, feel free to pm me a price.
