Did you ever find what you're looking for? I have a late 90s bushmaster A2 complete upper . The lower (which I'm not selling) has the serial number that confirms it was built in Maine not to mention that is states the Maine plant right on the lower.

It is in EXCELLENT condition. Less than 500 rounds. Has the following designator on it:

NATO 556 1 in 9 HBAR

This translates into a 20" Heavy (bull) barrel with 1:9 twist.

It's chambered in 5.56 which means it's mil-spec and capable of higher chamber pressures as well as being compatible with .223

Super clean. This was my first AR15. I just never shot it mainly because I wasn't a fan of the A2 upper (carry top)
