I have used one on a g21 at the range and had no issues. You do have to wipe the soot now and a again but for home defense I doubt you'll go through several 50rd boxes to even have to to that! Hope that helps.

get a surefire x300, i liked it better then the glock light when I had my g21sf

I use a SF X300 on a G22/23 and had previously used the TLR-1, my co-worker uses a TLR-1 on his G21, no issues to speak of. Another co-worker uses the new Insight light on a G22. I have personally seen 2 Glock lights pop of the rails of a G22, the lights were sent back and new ones were sent back. I have not heard of any new problems.

I have a Streamlight M3 that works real well. They seem to be reasonably priced.

All of the other lights mentioned are to be considered much better in my book than the glock light.

On the other hand, I personally think that the glock light looks pretty smooth on a glock pistol! It is a match made in heaven and I don't even like glocks!

Just makes it sexy!

Glock light works fine. Unless your going to scuba dive through an explosion. It would short out and then crack.
