When I purchased it at a gun show here in Portland, the vendor pointed out an "SA" on the base and stated that it meant that the magazine had been manufactured by Springfield Arms. As to the provenance of the others eight, I have no idea. All I know is that they all worked like a charm in the M-1A. If you want to take a look at them, you may reach me at (661) 400-4001.
