This was tempting until I read the customer reviews of J&G.
Some were good, a few were awful. Not much in between.
Anyone shed some light on these guys? The price seems too good to be
true at this moment in time.

They are polymer lowers, so the price is not actually that good. By the time you pay for shipping and the ffl fees, you will be close to $150 for a $40 lower.

I personally woudn't buy a polymer lower, but speaking on the quality of service on JG; We have purchased about 15 Mosin's from these guys with zero problems. They've actually been pretty good with great picking results from the rifles.

Sold out- but JG is good folks. the issues are- they overcharge on shipping, which has gotten better. And they like to take the extras and sell them off; EX: Pap M92 comes with 2 yugo BHO mags, JG keeps one and only sells with one mag.
