6.5 Creedmore on AR-15 platform (not AR-10)

Currently have an AR-15 platform and wanted to get a 6.5 CM upper. I see some that list it as available on an AR-15 platform, but I always thought the .308s were on an AR-10. I know the CM isn't a .308, but it is compared to it enough. Also, I have seen the Grendal on the AR-15 platform.

Is it possible to put a 6.5 CM on a 15 platform? Does anyone have experience in this?

No, OAL of 6.5 Creedmoor requires an AR-10 size receiver.

A 6.5 Grendal will work with an AR-15 size receiver.

Realize that if you want to load within a few thousandths of the lands for optimal accuracy, you aren't likely to be able to use a magazine, and single loading on an AR platform is difficult and defeats the purpose of an AR. Better off with a bolt gun. As the rifling erodes at the throat, chasing lands will not be possible on an AR platform either. Bolt gun built on a long action... no problems ever. Short action will become a single shot prospect in time as the throat erodes.

A single shot upper would be the only way to run 6.5CM with an AR-15 lower, if you want a functioning semi-auto in 6.5CM you need to go to an AR-10 or stick with 6.5G.
