So I dont have an AR anymore but I want another one. One of my "ideas" is to buy a nice lower and buy one of those 5.7 uppers. I figure I could put it together for about $1000.00. Anybody have any input?

I have one - it's a lot of fun.
I go back and forth on selling mine.. it's still listed, with ammo too..

I have one myself for a SBR. I ended up putting a suppressor on it as well.

In short, they are FUN. Pretty accurate, lots of rounds, and mine's been reliable.
