so bearing in mind ammo prices these days I was considering getting an upper receiver in 5.45x39 couple of questions though, does anyone know if you can use standard AR-15 mags? is this caliber worth it? any advice would be great before I shell out cash on an upper.
so standard AR-15 mags for the .223 wont work for the 5.45x39?
I think 99% of the 5.45x39 ammo out there is corrosive. If you find some that isn't, please let me know where. Hornady was supposed to be producing some domestic 5.45 this year but who knows if that will happen or not.For some fun, Rainier Arms currently has the Adams Arms piston-driven 5.45x39 upper retailing for $760.

I'm fine with my $110 case of 1080 rounds even if it's corrosive. Just make sure to flush the salts out when you're done shooting and it won't be an issue.
