- I have read and accept the classified system rules and terms of service.
Got a couple new printers and no longer need this one and don't want to deal with fixing it at the moment.
This would make a super cheap starter printer for someone who enjoys tinkering and has the capacity to work on it.
Before reading any further here is the disclaimer
This printer is currently not functional. It likely needs either a new thermistor installed or a new motherboard installed (more likely)
It is giving the error code "nozzle temperature to low" with an audible warning alarm.
The hot end is not heating up, even after replacing the heating element with a new one (currently installed and new)
Included with the sale is a new never installed thermistor.
A new motherboard from creality is around 40$ that should make this printer functional again.
They are not hard to install and there is a large customer base for help / tutorials.
The plastic housing that goes around the hot end also had the stupid little screw hole break off so it is held on with a zip tie. You can print a new housing, buy one for 8 bucks, or use it as is.
This printer has some decent upgrades already installed.
---------
Dual Z axis lead screws
Metal extruder assembly
Capricorn filament tube
Hardened steel extruder gear
Stiffer bed springs
Anodized Bed leveling knobs
All main power wires from the mother board have been re-crimper with proper ends.
Included with the sale is
------
5 replacement nozzles
Replacement extruder gear
Card reader
Basic ender tools
Other odds and ends replacement parts to keep this running for a while.
