I have a Smith & Wesson .38/44 Heavy Duty, Pre-World War II Variation, caliber .38 S&W Special revolver (fixed sight).

S/N is 37135 with ivory grips. Shipped from the factory Nov 12, 1930 to Tacoma.
My father-in-law is wishing to sell this handgun.

Is there a way to find out the value of this revolver? Where would I go to get an appraisal?

thanks!

Maybe I am posting this in the wrong place?
