Midway has some .357 Sig bullets for sale in their factory seconds. Their stock number 618531. This is a 135 gr. jacketed bullet, with cannelure. FMJ, conical profile. These appear to be a production overrun from the Hornady .357 Sig law enforcement ammunition line. They make a FMJ training cartridge, Hornady no. 91298. Which mimics their duty round with the similar profile Flex Lock bullet, Hornady no. 91295. These bullets are priced at about 10 cents apiece, which in my view is a good price for a hard-to-find bullet. They measure .355 diameter. I don't load for the Sig, I just use these in 9mm. The Midway listing says, "may or may not come with cannelure." But the boxes of these that I've bought lately all had the cannelure.

According to Midway, I bought the last five boxes lately. But they have carried these in the past and run out, so they may get more in future.

These bullets are available again. But this time, they are different.

This was Midway product number 618531 previously:

Which is the .357 Sig law enforcement practice bullet made by Hornady. In shape, it mimics their Critical Defense ammo loaded with the Flex Tip bullet.

Below is what Midway product no. 618531 looks like now:

Which to me looks like an unfinished Flex Lock bullet, not bored for the red tip, and therefore missing the red tip. These are uniform in size and weight.

I don't have a .357 Sig, but for 10 cents apiece, I like these for 9mm Para. 135 grain. I seat them to just below the cannelure so it doesn't show.

It appears the 10 cent option is out of stock again.

I ordered 5 boxes of these on Oct. 20th. They arrived Oct. 27th. So they sold out sometime within a week. I predict they will have more. I've ordered these 135 gr. .355 bullets several times over the past half a dozen years.

Some of the early original Luger cartridges had bullets shaped like this.

The latest version of this Midway factory second might be an overrun of bullets made for this ammunition:

Which isn't a .357 Sig, but a 9mm Para. The picture shows a cannelure on the bullet and flutes on the bullet nose. But no straight-on picture, so I'm not for certain.
