Picking up an Enfield this weekend, wanted to start getting some ammo lined up..
I have some on order, but will buy anything local (and affordable)

Also, any Enfield No1 MK3 magazines:)

You do know that they didn't have but one magazine per rifle, they loaded from stripper clips with the magazine always in the weapon... Nice to have an extra but not necessary for "historical accuracy"

Yes, of course I know that.. But did you know that you can press the lever inside the top of the mag to release it from the rifle, and load them up separately?

For instance-

Yep, My father's hunting rifle was a sporterized SMLE and he had several mags loaded. Too bad he never bagged anything with it. As for .303 Brit, Oregon Rifle Works in Tigard has plenty of PPU on hand.
