The 300 BLK shines in 3 ways:

1. As an SBR AR with supersonic ammo, suppressed or not. For whatever "serious" purpose you need.
2. As a suppressed bolt gun with subsonic for range giggles. SBR or 16".
3. As a suppressed SBR AR, again for range giggles.

We have short range PRS style rifle matches, 285 yds and in, and I've pressed my 16" bolt gun in 300BLK into service for those and it works just fine for that. I've also used my suppressed SBR in subsonic matches.

After my initial load development, set up and testing, the matches account for most of my actual use for 300 BLK. I don't hunt much, but the bolt gun would be fine for deer with supersonic ammo. I don't schwack sentries much either, but I guess the suppressed subsonics might work for that. When I actually do schwack pest critters, a silenced .22 rifle is what I use.

You can chamber and shoot 300 Blackout in a .223/5.56 firearm. It does, however, take a number of rounds before they start to trickle out the muzzle.

It was a rifle and didn't even ask what can because of my disgust that someone spent $200 to get permission and still loud AF ! I say shame on them lol
That's odd.

Perhaps a blast can & not a suppressor…

If it was a suppressor, imagine how loud it would have been without. So there's that.

The stamp & process is what it is.

Has anyone rune those Bear creek uppers if so what is the verdict ?
I have had good luck with mine, but you should look at them as a parts kit. The parts are decent, but the assembly is hit or miss. I've never had a loose barrel nut, but if you want your gas block to stay in place, you are probably going to need to torque it to spec. Also should torque the handguard screws and blue Loctite.

I see guys at the range running 556 suppressed and very disappointed they/ we still need ear pro! The 300 Bo is a gem and takes very little to switch over to the dark side.
300 Blk is my favorite by far for anything shorter than 11.5".

I've used a suppressor on an 11.5" 5.56. it takes the edge off but is no where near movie quiet and will still damage your hearing.

On the other hand suppressed 300 blk is spooky quiet in my setup and makes me smile every time I shoot it.

No .300 body odor in my house while 5.56 is in it. The consequences of a mistake are greater than my willingness to explore that given cartridge and I have .45s/.308s if the subsonic/.30 cal bug bites me bad enough

Marked and banded Lancer 300 blk magazines for tactile and visual identification. Metal and pmags for 5.56. I never take 5.56 and 300blk together on the same range trip.

For fun the 300 blackout subsonic suppressed is great. For any serious work subs in it suck and I would stick to supersonic ammo. If you want good terminal effect with subs, heavier bullets in bigger calibers is what is needed.
