I have six Wilson Combat Mags. The bumpers are too long to fit in my Miami Classic, and the one I gave to my son. I had thought about getting new bumpers, but the are like 7 bucks each. And, they were out of stock. Semi ordered 3 Mags with the short bumpers for me and 3 for my son.

Now I have 6 mags for each of my 3 1911's.

The ol flat bottom 1911 mags gave way to the old way of "slamming" the magazine home (to assure it was seated). Ive played with a few basepads and only liked the ultra slim ones. Thicker basepads are fine for range use practicing emergency reloads you can let those drop to the ground. The best mags that ran for me were the CMC Shooting Star mags, all were reliable, CMC Powermags had the ultra slim basepad. Surprisingly the Wilson Combat mags with the plastic follower were never reliable, but I have one of their cheap "920" mags but havent used it yet.
And then the best bang for the dollar in simple but reliable 8rd mags were the Kimbers. I think those were made by CMC but they always cost way less I used to get them new for around 20 bucks.

Nice Kimber by they way, I like the grips you put on.

I have three Shooting Star Mags with the plastic bumper. They are two long as well,

I have 9 WC's now and 3 Kimbers, 3 Colt mags, and 3 Triple K mags.

For a GI y round mag, the Triple K's are pretty good, and they are a little over 10 bucks each.

I also have one Colt Custom Shop Mag with a plastic base.

I think theres an open top design for the magazine carrier portion of the Miami Classic. Hats off to you rockin the old school horizontal shoulder holder.

Are the Triple K GI mags 7 or 8 rounds?
